Presidency receives 2016 budget details from National Assembly

The document was handed to Buhari at about 12.00 noon today, April 7, 2016 by his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abba Kyari.

The document was handed to Buhari at about 12.00 noon today, April 7, 2016 by his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abba Kyari, according to Daily Trust.

Kyari had earlier received it from the Senior Special Assistants to the President on National Assembly Matters, Ita Enang (Senate) and Samaila Kawu (House of Representatives).

“The budget details has been transmitted to His Excellency, Mr President, today. The constitutional process begins thereafter. We have transmitted it to the office of the president and constitutional process of timing begins,” Enang said.

Buhari had earlier refused to sign the budget without being aware of the full details.
