"In the process, the gangsters killed two persons, who did not have anything to do with their fight; they also injured a motorcyclist," he said.

In another statement also signed by Elkana, he named the victims as Samuel Geoffrey and Tobi Kuti. While Geoffrey is believed to be a dispatch rider for DTD Services, Apapa, Elkana said Kuti is suspected to be one of the hoodlums involved in the clash.

The spokesman also disclosed that a total of 33 suspects from the two rival gangs have been arrested and detained in custody in connection to the clash.

Two locally-made short guns with 10 live cartridges and other dangerous weapons such as cutlasses, knives, etc, were recovered from the suspects.
