The police are investigating the tragedy to determine all the circumstances. However, according to The Mirror, at the moment there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances related to the men's deaths, and many factors point to an unfortunate accident.

This is just one of many unfortunate incidents where someone loses their life while trying to take a photo in an interesting place. According to The Washington Post, between 2008 and 2021, 379 people around the world died trying to take a selfie.

Most cases occurred in India, followed by Russia, the USA and Pakistan, but accidents also occurred in, among others, in Spain, Indonesia, Mexico , New Zealand and the United Kingdom . Some of them concerned car accidents and photos taken next to passing trains, but many of the accidents involved tourists.
