The accused — Daniel Ettah, 18, and George Nkpanam, 28, are facing a two-count charge bordering on unlawful sexual intercourse.
The duo, whose residential addresses were not provided, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Magistrate, Mrs O. A. Ogunbowale, granted the accused bail in the sum of N500, 000 each with two sureties each in like sum.
She said the sureties must be blood relations of the accused and must be property owners in Lagos State.
In addition, the sureties should provide evidence of tax payment to the government.
Ogunbowale directed that the case file should be duplicated and a copy sent to the State Director for Public Prosecutions for advice.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Sgt. Ajaga Agboko, told the court that the accused committed the offences at different times and locations.
He said between January and March at White Sand School area, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, Ettah, indecently assaulted the seven-year-old girl, while on April 9 at 10.00 p.m. at same area, Nkpanam, also had a carnal knowledge of her.
The offence contravened Section 135 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised).
The magistrate adjourned the case until May 25 for mention.
