When Sammie Okposo Led Nigerian Celebrities To Pay Homage To Late Keffe

The late Keffee began her homeward journey last night when her colleagues gathered to pay tribute to her.

It was a night of tears, wailing and lamentations on Thursday, July 11, 2014, as top Gospel star, Sammie Okposo led other Nigerian celebrities to Benin City, Edo State, for the candle night service held in honour of late Kokoroko singer, Irikefe Obareki-Momoh, Kefee.

As the stars, colleagues, relatives, fans and other sympathisers filled into the hall of Oba Akenzua Cultural Centre, all dressed in black, tears flowed freely as the listened to sermons, eulogies, songs and a drama rendition.

Apart from Sammie Okposo who was very close to Keffee, other celebrities in attendance include was filled with fans, colleagues, relatives dressed in all black,  and gathered to listen to sermons, songs and speeches rendered in the honour of the late songstress.

Some of those who performed include Maleke, Benjamin Okorodion, Ifeoma Ikusemoro, Godfather and Asemota, who all performed to entertain the crowd.

Others include Foluke Daramola-Salako, Tim Tehilla, Nene Soul Diva, Nikki Laoye, Anny Ibrahim, Aity and Linda Etukudo, all contemporaries of the late Keffee who died on Friday, 13 June, 2014, in a USA hospital after being in a coma for several weeks. She had collapsed in an airplane on her way for a performance in Chicago and could not snap out of the coma.

May her soul rest in perfect peace.
