Asake dazzles at landmark 'Work Of Art' New York concert

On September 8, 2023, Asake performed at the 19,000-capacity Barclays Centre New York in a sold-out show.

Just weeks after his landmark show at the O2 Arena where he joined Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy as artists who have headlined the 20,000-capacity hall, Asake made it back-to-back sold-out shows as he wowed audiences in New York.

Asake who won the Album of the Year and Next Rated Artist at the recently held 16th Headies Awards performed his hit records from his debut album 'Mr. Money With The Vibe' and his sophomore album 'Work Of Art'.

At the concert, Asake wowed fans with a Fuji fusion with the assistance of the band who interpolated the classic drums of Adewale Ayuba's 'Ijo Fuji'.

2023 Nigerian music breakout talent rapper ODUMODUBLVCK was around to thrill the audience with his hit singles 'Picanto' and 'Declan Rice'.

Aside from the electrifying feeling he gave fans with a performance of his hit singles, Asake was also impressed with his unique fashion that combines avant-garde style and intergalactic fashion making his outfit similar to something in a Sci-Fi movie.

Asake's international success continues to wow observers, especially since he primarily uses Yoruba language. His international feat is a reflection of his super status after his surreal rise to mainstream success.

TurnTable Charts released a documentary on Asake's 2022 run on the first anniversary of his debut album 'Mr. Money With The Vibe'. In the documentary, media personalities, music executives, and associates gave insights into Asake's 2022 run which is largely agreed to be the greatest one-year run in Nigerian music.

20 months after getting mainstream success with 'Omo Ope', Asake has left his mark in the Nigerian music industry and he continues to reach new heights that cut the making of an Afrobeats fairytale.
