Kanye West says he is 'quitting politics after being used'

Kanye West is at it again and this time he wants nothing to do with politics weeks after his meeting with President Donald Trump.

The controversial rapper who recently paid a visit to Africa to continue work on his upcoming album, ''Yhandi'', on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, said on Twitter in a series of tweet that he plans on "distancing" himself from politics, alleging he's being "used to spread messages I don't believe in."

"I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative!!!" he shared.

Kanye who earlier in the week was associated with a campaign led by conservative activist, Candace Owens that encourages black voters to leave the Democratic Party, also clarified his involvement in the campaign saying he only made an introduction to the person who designed the logo.

This new stance is coming barely a month after his visit to the White House where he was a guest of President Donald Trump after sustained online political rants which have led to a heavy backlash in the press.
