2face who cancelled the protest on Saturday February 4, has also refuted claims he was arrested by the Department of State Security service.
The 'Officially blind' singer who cancelled the protest barely two hours to Sunday, February 5, 2017, has also refuted claims he was arrested by the Department of State Services.
According to the award-winning pop star he's fine and free.
He wrote, "Thanks for the concern guys. I'm fine and free. Reports about DSS arrest are not true. We are still compiling your responses for the leadership. State your opinion on social media with the hastag #IStandWithNigeria. Peace! One luv always!!!"
Meanwhile, the father of seven has been facing major backlash after cancelling the proposed protest, slated for February 6, 2016.
He made the announcement in an Instagram video, where he stated security concerns. Unfortunately, this has not stopped people from coming for him.
Thankfully, fellow singer, Bez Idakula, has risen to 2face's defense.
In a series of tweet, the singer showed his support, while urging people to stop attacking the legendary music star.
