According to the Nigerian Christ For All Nations (Cfan)twitter handle, the first miracle involves a former crippled man who now walks.

Apart from this healing, a lot of people also answered the altar call and gave their lives to Christ.

These occurrences validate the 77-year-old evangelist who had promised that “God’s words will be preached, miracles will be full and the Holy Spirit will come down. The ripple effects of this crusade will be felt all over the world."

He said this at a news conference at the Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island on Monday, November 6, 2017.

This first day attracted thousands of people, about 400 international guests, top spiritual leaders.

In the video below, Peter Vandenberg, CfaN’s Vice President, observes, “It’s the first day and the vast field is filling with people as they stream in from around the great city of Lagos.

"Tens of thousands of volunteer workers are already in place, and the huge choir of over 20,000 voices is ready to sing. The place is filled with a feeling of great expectation as multitudes gather to receive.”

Meanwhile, Bonnke has revealed his reason for choosing Lagos, Nigeria as the location for his farewell crusade.

Speaking with Vanguard, he said that this is his favourite country, adding that he always feels the presence of God here.

In his words, “Am so glad and honoured that God allows me to come back to Nigeria. It’s my favourite country because I have not seen in other Africa countries what God has done here.

“If you look back and watch events in the country, they are absolutely amazing and I believe every plan of God will come to pass.”

This crusade is not just about passing the torch to the next Cfan leader as the flyers imply, it also celebrates 50 years of Evangelist Bonnke’s ministry in Africa.

More people, “not less than 30 million persons” for the remaining four days, according to the Chairman, Central Working Committee, Apostle Alexander Bamgbola.

The second day, today promises to be more powerful.
