Faith and I were treated to a one-night of luxury at Hi-Impact planet.
When the mail came at the end of the Easter writing competition organized by pulse.ng; it was unbelievable, we have been offered a night out at Hi-Impact planet. We could not wait to jet-out. We could not contain our joy, because we knew it would be nothing far from an exciting experience.
Faith and I are two people who share similar things in common: travelling, meeting new people, and trying out new stuffs. We love to explore. We love good fun. We were invited by Hi-Impact planet through pulse.ng for a night stay at their resort. We never knew that we were being invited to another side to world class hospitality. In summary, we ate a little slice of heaven.
We touched down at Hi-Impact planet, along Lagos-Ibadan express way, on the rainy afternoon of a Saturday. The first thing we took note of was the sound security that mounted the entrance. After the normal check, we were ushered into the arena. Believe me; the sight from the gate was breathtaking.

As we took steps further, we thought that Disney was in town. The arrangement was too superb. The resort and game land was divided into two: one part housed the game world, while the other was strictly residential. The game land housed in-door and out-door games while the colourful structures which served as accommodation looked nothing far from serene.
As we made our way to the ticketing office, we passed through their clinic –I never knew that we were in a first class aircraft, waiting for take-off. As we stepped into the ticketing office, we got one of the best receptions in the world. I must say, the office was out of this word –clean, sparkling and of high standard, one would have mistaken it for a banking hall.
The officers behind the cubicles were too cute and polite, that we actually blushed from cheek to cheek. We felt too loved, because of the attention that we got. The officers quickly attended to our needs, and ushered us to our room with umbrellas, and at that point, we knew were had arrived the Queen’s court.
Each building was named after the seven planets. We saw rows of unique looking buildings that we couldn’t even see the beginning from the end. We lodged in Mars. The attendants politely checked us into our room, and we had about two others who came by to either introduce themselves as the caretakers or inquired of our needs.
We felt swell when we were ushered into our room. It was so neat that we couldn’t believe our eyes. The air conditioner worked, the water ran, and the toilet certainly flushed. We freshened up, and hurried out, because we could not wait to spend the remaining daylight.
We took up our cameras and hit the game section of Africa’s paradise. The place was so organized that each three minutes walk had a world class rest room which was fully attended by some members of staff. Each rest room housed at least twenty closets with an addition of children’s water system. We could not believe our eyes, because the whole place was spotless and smelt so nice that one could eat while sitting or standing.
The first side attraction was the make-believe fairy land, epic monument and a comic pride land. Those were followed by a giant image of a gorilla secured by bamboos. The children water park, arcade in-house game, swings of various types. The park housed more than fifty indoor and outdoor games, put together.
We visited the state of the art lounge. Words could not express the wonder of interior decoration we set our eyes on. When we were done, we headed for the food court –hunger was no man’s friend. Hi-Impact planet has three spectacular food courts: main dish, dessert and pizza court. The food was delicious, and the price was exceptional and affordable.
Afterwards, we retired to our room, and settled before the one time channel: Hi-Impact television.
The following day was certainly Sunday, and it was time to leave, but we didn’t want to leave in a hurry. Sunday morning began with showers of blessings, and we decided to wait out the rain in our room while we were entertained by HI-Impact television. Immediately it was some minutes to twelve, house service came around to check before we finally signed out. We made our way back to the ticketing office for our hand bands and voucher (five thousand naira reward).

At the ticketing office, we still met the ever hospitable members of staff who politely attended to our needs. We were issued the necessary and we made our way back to the game park. The first thing we did was to take pictures and make videos. Next, we went on the exciting bumper car ride, and then danced ourselves to another level (dance-step game). The rain got heavier, and as it were, we couldn’t go on the outdoor games due to safety precautions. We tried dessert, which was too yummy, and had lunch, before.
We didn’t want to leave, but Monday already called. We said goodbye and before we knew it, we were back home, safe and sound.
Many things were worth commending at Hi-Impact planet, that we wouldn’t stand a chance not visit, just one more time.
Some of these commendable things are the following: tight and efficient security at each point; hospitable members of staff, clean environment, organized and serene atmosphere, good kitchen, excellent house-keeping, free wifi, well maintained structure and equipment, world standard rest room system, and so many more.
Faith and I had an unforgettable experience and it was worth it. It was an adventure we would certainly love to repeat. Hi-Impact planet can boast of offering first class treatment because we experienced it, first hand.
If you ever wish for an excellent place for a memorable getaway, with state of the art structures and first class hospitality, think HI-Impact Planet.
