Sharks hooker Michael Ennis announces NRL retirement

Cronulla Sharks hooker Michael Ennis has announced his retirement, set to call it quits at the end of the 2016 season.

The former New South Wales Origin representative has played for five NRL clubs, most notably the Canterbury Bulldogs.

Ennis, 32, is a veteran of 263 NRL games and has featured in every match for the high-flying Sharks this season.
He was the Dally M Player of the Year runner-up last year, while he is also a two-time hooker of the year.
The Sharks are top of the NRL table after winning 16 of 18 matches.
