Originally intended as cure for hangovers, the Corpse Reviver #2 is a pleasant cocktail which combines cognac and gin.

While several of other variations of the Corpse Reviver recipe have been lost in time, the Corpse Reviver #2has survived to this day appearing in the Savoy Cocktail Handbook by Harry Craddock in 1930.

What you need:

  • Gin
  • Cocchi Americano or Lillet Blanc
  • Cointreau or any orange based liquor
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 dash absinthe
  • Orange peel for garnish

Directions:

- Shake all ingredients together in an ice-filled cocktail shaker; strain into a chilled martini glass.

- Garnish with orange peel.
