The photo of the scene which was posted by users over Facebook had already been shared by users more than 82,000 times since last Monday. The photo reveals Nativity scene painted on the windows of the McDonalds store and it was with the phrase, “His name is Jesus” and it had the word “Painted” written on the sides.

Amy Basel, a native of the state of Michigan who initially upload the picture on Facebook was in utter surprise to learn that her picture had went viral and had been shared by so many user online. She said, “I thought, what in the world? On a McDonald’s and its Jesus? This is great.” She also added, “I was super excited about it and I took the picture.”

The following was Amy’s caption of the photo:

‘Drove by and did a double-take. Growing up in the mitten, you would NEVER see this. Tennessee McDonald’s you made my day. “His name is Jesus.” This was posted on last Monday, December 14, 2015.  The Mitten was nicknamed after Michigan’s lower-peninsula as per Amy.

The owner of the McDonald tore said, “Although we respect all values and beliefs, our window displays during Christmas season have become something of a local tradition.” The store owners have been decorating the store windows for many years now.

“As independent business owners for many years, we have had the windows at our restaurants painted with similar messages. This is a tradition that was started by my father 40 years ago. We are surprised and happy that our windows have garnered attention across the country and are proud to be a part of this community,” the owner added. The McDonald’s store of Spring Hill, Columbia and Mount Pleasant are owned by The Wolfes.

Amy who owns a Bible and teaching philanthropically said, “I just want God to be glorified. He’s the one who wanted this to go viral.”
