How Nigeria's Simidele Adeagbo lost out on Skeleton medals

After finishing in 54.17s for Women’s Skeleton Heat 1, Simidele was in action for Heat 2, 3 and 4.

Heat 2

For Heat 2 on Friday, February 16, she finished 20th in a 20-woman race in a time of 54.58s and was 2.57s behind the winner.

She was just third after the start with a time of 5.12s but fell to ninth after Split 1 with a time of 14.96s.

After Split 2 she was 19th with a time of 24.29s and she fell to 20th after Split 3 in a time of 35.12s.

She maintained 20th position at the end of Split 4 (42.21s) and Finish (54.58s).

For Heat 3

For Heat 3 on Saturday, February 17, the 36-year-old finished in 20th place in a 20-woman race with a time of 53.73and was 1.09s behind the winner.

She finished the Start in third place with a time of 5.12s and fell to 4th after Split 1 with a time of 14.92s.

After Split 2, Simidele was 13th with a time of 24.13s and fell to 17th position at the end of Split 3 with a time of 34.17s.

She slipped to 18th after Split 4 with a with a time of 41.58s and finished the race in 20th position.

Heat 4

Simidele finished 20th in the 20-woman race for Heat 4 with a time of 54.28s.

She finished the Start in eighth place with a time of 5.20s and fell to 14th after Split 1 with a time of 15.07s.

After Split 2, Simidele was 19th with a time of 24.38s and remained in that position at the end of Split 3 with a time of 35.19s.

She slipped to 20th after Split 4 with a with a time of 42.14s and finished the race in that position.
