Rapper's refined talent and showmanship destroys Industry Nite concert

With a performance worthy of the best stages that the Industry can offer, South African rapper Cassper Nyovest held sway at Industry Nite.

The ‘Doc Shebeleza’ singer arrived Nigeria within the week for recordings with D’banj and has been active in Lagos, with photos from his activities on social media keeping his fans abreast of his work in West Africa.

But the engagement to crown it all was to come at the popular weekly concert organised for the players of the Nigerian entertainment industry.

The concert was held at its long-running venue – Spice Route, Victoria Island – and packed a crowd filled with a massive number of pressmen, celebrities, and background music specialist.

A number of acts opened for Cassper, with the most endearing performances coming from Chocolate City. DiceAiles was impressive with ‘Oh no no’.

Milli gave a performance to remember. He played a set which consisted of his song ‘Drank’, of the successful “The Indestructible Choc Boi Nation”. Combining his captivating delivery with exquisite dance moves and miming, the singer got the crowd lit. Victoria Kimani then made the flow hit its height with a performance of ‘Show’.

Other acts who got to grace the stage include Karma, Dammy Krane, Floss, 2kriss and Danagog.

Cassper Nyovest finally did take to the stage, after a rousing introduction from host of the night, Jimmie Akinsola. The South African rapper proceeded to play his sets which included songs off his 2014 album “Tsholofelo”.

He ended his set with a performance of the hit crossover single ‘Doc Shebeleza’. A class act he was, he ended with thanksgiving, and promised to return to Nigeria.
