No shots fired at Navy Yard in Washington

No shots were fired at the U.S. Navy Yard in Washington on Thursday morning, local media said, citing unidentified sources, after the facility was placed on lockdown due to reports of a possible shooter.

Local affiliates of NBC and CBS said no shots were fired. The U.S. Navy said earlier on Thursday that the area was on lockdown with orders to shelter in place, but it said no incident could be confirmed.
