The official, Dr Muyideen Akorede, spokesman to Gov. Abdulfatai Ahmed, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Ilorin that the government had already notified the unions of the deadline.
"That is the stand of the state government now as far as the issue is concerned.
"The unions and other stakeholders have been notified to carry their members along,'' he said.
Akorede said the government had embarked on enlightenment campaigns in the print and electronic media to sensitise the workers on the issue.
NAN recalls that the government commenced physical screening of its employees in March, 2016.
In the course of the exercise, 324 workers were discovered to be linked to 659 multiple bank accounts.
