Your body count is the number of people you have had sex with, and sometimes, a lover or potential lover could inquire about this during conversations which are aimed at improving the bond and intimacy between you and him.
To reveal your body count or not?
Is it Ok to reveal that information at that period? Pulse readers think not.
In the poll published here recently, an overwhelming 76.5% [at the time of this publication] say they'd never do such thing, with only 23.5% saying trust would make them divulge the information.
An expert opinion on body counts
According to Tracey Cox, a popular English author and columnist who specializes on dating, sex and relationships:
“People will judge you no matter what answer you give when asked about past lovers and the assumption they make is usually wrong.”
“Which is why I don't care who's doing the asking – whether it's your partner, mother, best friend or beauty therapist - your answer to how many lovers you've had is no answer.”
You could tell your doctor, gynecologist or other medical professionals who need your sexual history for medical reasons, she adds, because those are professionals who have signed a confidentiality oath.
Don’t tell your boo, your friends and surely not your Nigerian parents because they'll judge you, opines Tracey Cox, whose full opinion on the matter you can get here
