5 things you should know about veteran broadcaster's wedding

Veteran NTA broadcaster,Cyril Stober ties the knot and here's what we know about him and his lovely bride.

In a traditional wedding ceremony that has caught us all by [a very pleasant] surprise, the seasoned presenters have come together in a union that will hopefully flourish as their sparkling individual careers.

Apart from working together for NTA, here are more things we know about the couple and their nuptials.

1. Wedding venue

The couple had their traditional wedding at Banu’s hometown in Garkida, Adamawa State, in accordance with the wedding tradition that states that the groom would need to go to the bride’s father’s home to ask for her hand in nmarriage.

2. Wedding date

Cyril Stober and Elizabeth’s Banu’s wedding held on January 13, 2018. News of the ceremony broke that same day.

There had been no hint whatsoever in the media prior to the day.

3. They’re actually not colleagues

Not anymore, at least.

Cyril Stober has retired from NTA since 2015, putting to bed a glowing illustrious career that lasted over 20 years with the TV behemoth.

4. Relationship

The pair were together for a while before deciding to tie the knot, reports several media outlets.

The couple are lowkey though, so no definitive time can be put on their relationship.

5. Cyril was once married to another NTA worker

The veteran presenter’s marriage with Elizabeth Banu would be his second as he was once married to Efun Merriman-Johnson, who is based now in the United Kingdom.

On the same day of Cyril's and Elizabeth's traditional wedding in Adamawa state, singer Omawumi Megbele tied the knot in Warri with Tosin Yusuf, to whom she has been legally married since 2015.

The actress glowed and glittered in her three fabulous outfits at the ceremony which "formally" makes her "Mrs Y".
