Wife of Season 3's winner writes moving tribute to late husband

The wife of the late Gulder Ultimate Search Season 3 winner writes an emotional tribute.

On Thursday, September 7, 2017, Oseyi Jobarteh wrote a post titled "Happy Birthday My Love" on her blog "thesecretlifeof678".

It was Hector Jobarteh's posthumous birthday. The Season 3 winner was murdered on Saturday, September 2, 2017, happened shortly after the deceased returned from the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA), Ikeja.

In her post, Oseyi Jobarteh wrote "We were going to grow old together, be that crazy old couple that terrorised the street kids and banged our canes on iron structures just because we could.

"You said you'd shun my tradition and get a plot somewhere in Ibadan or yonder so we'd be buried side by side and frolic the afterlife together.

"You never mentioned anything about leaving me with the kids you so desired, making me a widow before our 5th wedding anniversary and depriving me of the will to live.

"It was always me before you cause we agreed you'd be able to cope better."

She further wrote "People call and ask how I'm doing.

I've lost my freaking better half,  how do they imagine I am doing?

The truth is I am not "okay", "fine" or "doing better".

I am angry with a lot of people and at you too Hector.

Royally pissed, enraged... Heartbroken."

Oseyi Jobarteh ended her post saying she is going to bury her husband in one of his finest suits.

Three suspects had been arrested in connection with the murder of the Gulder Ultimate Search winner according to the  Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole.

He said, “The residents picked the faces of some of the suspects, which aided police investigations. Three suspects have been arrested.”

According to Punch Metro, it was gathered that the assailants had lost track of the deceased at first when he entered his apartment, but after threatening one of the tenants of the residence, he directed them to his apartment, where he was shot.
