While it was recently rumored that the 28-year-old playmaker was practically set to join Belgrade, with negotiations reportedly underway with Crvena zvezda Meridianbet, the market situation has since taken a dramatic turn. According to well-informed Greek sports portal Sport24, all signs now point to Robinson donning the jersey of the Catalan giants next season.
"Negotiations with Barcelona are in an advanced stage; they aren't finalized yet, but it's just a matter of the two sides shaking hands," states the report from our Greek colleagues.
This development and the immense interest from EuroLeague clubs come as no surprise, given that the Paris orchestrator has just completed his best season since arriving on the Old Continent.
Robinson was the driving force behind the French team in the elite competition, averaging 14.6 points and 4.5 assists across 36 games.
Before his breakout performance with Paris, the American built his career in the NBA, playing for the Washington Wizards, Oklahoma City Thunder, Milwaukee Bucks, and Detroit Pistons. After a brief stint in Australia, his European journey began with Breogán in Spain, and prior to his move to France, he also played for Trapani in Italy.
