According to a report by Deadline, Zendaya would be joining the cast of the upcoming Marvel's "Spider-Man" reboot.

Contrary to several reports of the actress landing a lead role, The Hollywood Reporter says "it's not a lead role."  According to Borys of THR, the casting is part of Marvel's intention to go heavily non-white with the "Spider-Man" supporting cast.
