Speaking right after the game, Obradović shared his immediate post-match thoughts:

"We were solid defensively for the full 40 minutes. We turned our strong defense into fast breaks and easy points. We played at quite a slow tempo, but we won the game." - Željko Obradović

Playing in such a heated atmosphere was far from easy, and Obradović praised how his team handled the pressure.

"The reaction was very good. It is tough to play in an atmosphere like this. It's always challenging on the road, but especially here. I completely understand them. Going up against Partizan in front of a crowd like this is a totally different ballgame."
