The music event brought by X3M Music in partnership with Aristokrat Live took place on  the night of  Saturday, March 25, 2016 at 29, Cafe R, Isaac John street, Ikeja, GRA, Lagos, and witnessed an impressive turnout of young music loving folks.

Peter Clarke was first to take on the stage, showing off his versatility with his rendition of the Eastern influenced love song ‘Amaka’, He also dishes out a couple others including ‘Ordinary guys’, a song that has Skales on it. Clarke gave a worthy performance, catching on well with the audience.

In between the sessions, DJ Xtreme had the music coming just right from his rich playlist.

Jamal Swiss followed up with his calm self, putting on a good show as he drew the audience closer to his music and dance steps. He sings of his ‘Black corolla’ off his forthcoming “Based On True Events” EP that left him with an applause from the audience.

“The Engine” Odunsi was next up, dressed up looking like a young Michael Jackson with his black shoes and white stockings exposed. The talented singer and producer wasted no time in wooing the fans as he performed ‘Vibrate’ off his “Time Of Our Lives” EP and his recent single ‘Desire’ which he had everyone singing along to its hook on Desire like “She my desire, travel round the world just to find her, omoge wa gbe mi saya….”.

It was interesting watching the young genius, that being his first time performing with a live band.

D-Truce then takes over, as he gingers up the audience.  He takes us back to his song that got him signed to X3M Music ‘Brown sugar’ a song that samples J Cole’s ‘In the morning’. Adding some spice to the performance, he brings on a fine lady to the stage, and sings to her, which got the lady all blushing.

Truce continued his performance on the night with ‘Better days’, which he recorded with label mate Praiz and picked on some songs off his “Eden” EP to wrap up the night of feel good performances.

Although the sound system in the small spaced hall didn’t come off as perfect, D-Truce with his gifted live band, back up dancers as well as the other acts that performed on the night made a statement of moving a culture forward that supports an organic growing fan base resonating well with the music these young talented acts are putting out.
