"You never truly leave Partizan," says Bogdanović: "We'll see... The dream is always there"

Partizan fans had hoped to see him back in the black and white jersey this summer, but Serbian national basketball team captain Bogdan Bogdanović has remained in the NBA, where he will play for the Houston Rockets. While vacationing on the Montenegrin coast, he commented on his former club to local media.

Bogdan Bogdanović is currently in Herceg Novi, where he told a local television station that he spends some time on the Adriatic coast every summer.

"I love being here; I spend a portion of every summer in Montenegro, so it's a great pleasure to be back. I remember everything; it's unforgettable. Those were truly intense basketball games with great players," he recalled about the matches at Novska Karača.

He is now set for his tenth NBA season, where he will represent the Houston Rockets, having recently signed with the team.

"A new contract, a new challenge, and a new team. I've signed with Houston, I'm satisfied, and we'll see what this year brings. I hope this start to my preparations here brings me luck as well."

Hard work has always been his hallmark, a trait he elevated to an even higher level in the United States.

"Years in the NBA have taught me that you have to work on all aspects of the game, but discipline and consistency are the most important. I still strive to remain maximally disciplined in my approach to the game, and we'll see where that takes me."

The conversation inevitably turned to Partizan and a potential return.

"The dream is always there. If you've been with Partizan once, you're always with Partizan. As long as you're active in your career, Partizan wants its former players back because they know how much they gave to the club. Partizan is a special place, and where our paths will lead, we'll see. For now, I've signed with Houston, and my focus is entirely there."

The Serbian captain emphasized that he is focused solely on the immediate future.

"I can't think about what will happen in two, three, or four years. For this season, I primarily expect to stay healthy, for us to achieve team success, and to have the opportunity to contend for an NBA championship. That would be a huge step forward."
