Ahmed Musa Insists On Ramadan Fast

Musa and Azeez went on Ramadan fast before Nigeria played France in the quarter final of the 2011 U-20 World Cup which they lost 3-2

Nigeria's two goal thriller against Argentina Ahmed Musa can observe his islamic rights to fast according to the team coach Stephen Keshi.

Ahmed Musa who is a devout Muslim insists to go through the fast from dawn to dusk and says it will give him an extra boost.

Keshi has given his full support to the striker's insistence to observe the fast, even though it might affect his alertness and stability for the game against France.

“It’s the normal thing for him to observe the Ramadan. We hope he is used to it. He has done that with his club and he has still done what is expected of him.

“He will do the same thing for the game against France if he is picked for the game,” Keshi said.

Back in 2011 at the U-20 World Cup hosted by Colombia, Nigerian duo of Ahmed Musa and Ramon Azeez observed the Ramadan fast against a quarterfinal clash with France which they ended up loosing 3-2.
