Yabusele Opens Up About Real Madrid-Partizan Brawl: "Lessort and I Still Tease Each Other About It..."

Yabusele touched upon the game, but delved more deeply into his thoughts on Željko Obradović, Mathias Lessort, and that legendary EuroLeague series he played against Partizan while still with Real Madrid.

It's worth recalling that in the second game of that series against Partizan, during a mass brawl on the court, Yabusele threw Dante Exum to the ground. Partizan fans have never forgiven him for it. So, how does Mathias Lessort, his French national team and Panathinaikos teammate, who played for Partizan at the time, view that incident?

We still have some trash talk about it. He always has something to say, always adds a comment. We constantly tease each other. But, of course, he's my brother. We support each other, build confidence, and push forward. When we step onto the court, we fight together and give our all to win for the team.Gershon Yabusele

Following that, Yabusele also discussed working with Željko Obradović, another key figure in the aforementioned famous Real Madrid-Partizan series.

It's a special feeling to work with him. You notice how much attention he pays to every single detail, which is incredibly important for us players. He tries to guide us, instill confidence, and insists that we play the right way. Our job is simply to listen and apply it on the court.Gershon Yabusele

Finally, he had a clear message for Panathinaikos fans (and their EuroLeague rivals)...

I'm ready, no more excuses. I've been here for a few weeks now, we're working hard, and we need to be fully focused against Paris in the first round of the EuroLeague.Gershon Yabusele
