"Entrepreneurs need access to capital and education" - Tony O. Elemelu

At the Press Conference with the cochairs of the World Economic Forum On Africa 2016 holding in Kigali, Rwanda from May 11 to May 13, 2016, Mr. Elumelu shared some interesting ideas.

Tony Elumelu is the founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundation; he is a serial entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is responsible for creating many jobs and businesses across the continent.

Mr. Elumelu said that his expectation is that we should all work together as there is a large number of African who are unemployed although they have great ideas.

There are 45,000 applicants annually for an entrepreneurship programme, of out the 45,000, only a thousand are selected. Mr. Elumelu said he hoped friends of Africa could help some if the remaining 44,000 that weren’t selected for the programme and help them in whatever way they can.
