Washington Wizards center Alex Sarr is on the verge of returning to full training activities following foot surgery.

According to The Athletic's Josh Robbins, the team's plan was to hold the 21-year-old French prospect out of contact drills during the opening week of training camp. This puts Sarr on track to join full-contact scrimmages very soon, potentially as early as this Monday.
Selected No. 1 overall by the Wizards in the 2024 NBA Draft, Sarr suffered a foot fracture during individual summer workouts, which required surgical intervention in mid-June.
Last season, Sarr featured in 48 games, averaging 16.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in roughly 27 minutes of action per contest.
