Leicester City manager praises midfielder for shutting down Manchester United link
Ndidi’s impressive performances for Leicester City have prompted reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.
A fake quote from someone, Hakeem Bello who is thought to be his agent hinted that he will accept an offer from Manchester United.
But Ndidi came out to debunk the quote insisting that he does not know the person behind it.
“Please be informed this information is not true, I'm 200% with Leicester and I don't know this person called Hakeem Bello,” the 20-year-old midfielder wrote on Twitter denying the statement.
“He was proactive in terms of how he approached it,” said Shakespeare said on the club’s website on Saturday.
“He showed maturity to quash the rumours straight away.
“I think it is important you speak to players and they understand how important they are to our club.
“We have done that with Wilf and to be fair to him he has come out and said how happy he is and how much he wants to stay here.”
Ndidi was missing from Leicester City’s 4-2 Premier League loss away to Everton on Sunday, April.
The 20-year was absent with a minor groin problem but is expected to be fit for their Champions League clash at Atletico Madrid this week.
