The striker joined the English Championship side just under a year ago. At the time, media reports suggested it was a record transfer from the Slovakian league.

The Slovak forward played 35 competitive matches for "The Boro" in the 2025/2026 season, scoring eight goals. He has yet to feature this new season, but according to coach Kim Hellberg, he is expected to return to training next week.

Following their unsuccessful Premier League playoff campaign, Middlesbrough significantly strengthened their squad over the summer, bringing in English striker Will Lankshear for nearly 12 million euros to boost their attacking prowess. The team's latest acquisition has so far repaid that faith, netting three goals in two appearances.
