Watford manager Quique Sanchez Flores is counting his stars that his striker Odion Ighalo rejected ‘crazy money’ from China to stay at the club.

Ighalo has been inform this season scoring seven goals for the newly promoted side.

His brace against West Ham over the weekend made him Watford's all-time top goalscorer in Barclays Premier League history and his 23rd goal in 29 appearances which also makes the highest goalscoring in England top four tiers this year.

Watford almost sold the Nigeria international for just £10million but the striker decided to stay and his Flores is now happy with that decision.

“Everyone knows he is a very important player for us,” Watford manager Flores said.

“He has a lot of qualities for our style of football. He can play close to the box, at the back of the goal, in front of the goal, different areas.

“That is very important. He can keep the ball, score with his head, a lot of qualities for us so he is a very important player.”
