Plot.

By the Sea revolves around an American writer named Roland and his wife, Vanessa, who arrive in a tranquil and picturesque seaside resort in 1970s France, their marriage in apparent crisis.

As they spend time with fellow travelers, the couple begins to come to terms with unresolved issues in their own lives.

Jolie made her directorial debut with the movie 'Unbroken.'

'By the Sea' will debut domestically on  November 13, 2015, after  having its world premiere at the AFI Festival next week.

It was recently announced that Jolie will undefinedfor Netflix.
