Washington Wizards Prospect Undergoes Surgery

Washington Wizards center Alex Sarr has undergone successful surgery on his right foot, the NBA club announced.

The 21-year-old Frenchman sustained a fracture during practice last week.

The Wizards' staff anticipates the former second overall draft pick will make a full recovery in time for the start of the new season.

While the Wizards missed the playoffs last season, Sarr had a strong individual campaign, averaging 16.3 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.
