N100,000 up for grabs as 20 poets battle at TerraKulture
Come Saturday the 29th of November 2014, Lagos will witness another epic battle o0f words as 20 talented Nigerian Spoken Word Poets slug it out on the War Of Words 4 stage for the N100,000.00 star prize.
It promises to be an exciting time from 2.00 pm at TerraKulture Victoria Island, Lagos until a new Slam Poetry Champion emerges.
The prizes to be won is enough motivation to make the poets bring out the best in them.
According to the CEO of i2X Media Company Limited, conveners of the event,Olumide Holloway, the overall winner will take home a tidy N100,000.00 while the first and second runners up will get N20,000.00 and N10,000.00 respectively.
Poets expected to perform at the event are; Akintide Akintumile, Olayinka Samson Aremu, Richard Abutu aka High on Words, Ewurum Nancee, Philips Olayanju, YoungFlashy, Promise Osigwe, Igbor Clemency, Oredola Ibrahim, Onele Peter Cole, Audu Lucklyn, Milicent Iyke, Kolawole Omolara, Bankol, Dornubari Annah aka Choice Poet, Tigiri Precious aka September Poet, Neofloetry, Paul Word, Olufisayo Lydia Olanrewaju and Hussain Ahmed.
Judging the event will be the biggest names in the game; Tope Sadiq aka Torpedo Mascaw, Nigeria’s best free styling poet and an emcee; Bob Ekat who performed for Coca Cola's 125th global anniversary and Dike-Ogu Chukwumerije, a slam master who has won several Performance Poetry Competitions in Nigeria.
Head, Human Capital Management & Development of First Bank Nigeria Limited, Mrs. Ayodele Omowunmi Jaiyesimi will make an appearance as a Guest Judge.
War of Words 3 was won by , anImo State University (IMSU) Owerri graduate and radio presenter.
