Nigerian Army Battles Boko Haram In Bama

Following the Boko Haram conquest of Gwoza in Borno, a group of terrorists are said to have invaded the Bama area of the state.

However, their attack has been countered by officers of the Nigerian army who have put up a fierce resistance.

Residents of the community said that the insurgents arrived the area early this morning and began an onslaught with their weaponry.

Many of the villagers are said to have fled Bama to avoid being caught up in the battle.
