Nollywood actress Regina Chukwu was reportedly denied entry at the gate of Lateef Adedimeji and Mo Bimpe's grand thanksgiving ceremony for their triplet sons, held in Lagos on Wednesday.

The event, which drew Nollywood colleagues, family members and well-wishers, was preceded by a strict set of entry rules publicly announced by event planner Omobolale Gold.

Ahead of the celebration, Gold laid out clear guidelines barring uninvited bloggers, content creators brought along by vendors, and anyone without a formal access card or the event's designated Aso Ebi from entering the venue.

According to reports, security personnel at the gate turned away Regina Chukwu in line with those restrictions, despite being a recognisable face within the industry.

The exact circumstances behind why the actress was unable to gain entry, whether due to a missing access card, an oversight in the invitation list, or another mix-up, have not been independently confirmed.

The incident quickly caught attention online, with the enforcement of the rules seen by some as unusually strict for a Nollywood social event, where access has traditionally been more relaxed for industry colleagues. Regina Chukwu has not publicly commented on the incident as of the time of writing.

The thanksgiving itself was a long-anticipated celebration for Adedimeji and Mo Bimpe, coming months after the couple welcomed their triplet sons and following an earlier private naming ceremony in May, where the boys were named Rahman, Raheem and Rakeeb. 

Adedimeji had previously described the period leading up to their birth as one spent "building, protecting, and embracing the greatest blessing" of his life, while Mo Bimpe described her journey to motherhood as one that moved "from waiting to wonder, from tears to thanksgiving."

The couple, who married in December 2021, have continued to share glimpses of their family life since welcoming their sons, with the Wednesday event marking their most public celebration of the milestone to date.
