Oscar Pistorius Is Guilty Of Culpable Homicide

Oscar Pistorius has been convicted  of culpable homicide for the shooting death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

The Paralympian was earlier cleared of premeditated murder charges and has now been found guilty of culpable homicide, a charge similar to manslaughter.

Judge Thokozile Masipa asked Pistorius to stand as she delivered her verdict.

She said:

"The accused acted negligently when he fired shots into the toilet door knowing there was someone behind the door," .

"A reasonable person would have foreseen the possibility that the person behind the door might have been killed by the shots."
