Cristianinho has received his first-ever call-up to the Portugal Under-17 national team. Cristiano Ronaldo's son was named in the 23-man squad announced on Monday by head coach Filipe Ramos for the first qualifying round of the European Championship, taking another step forward in his international development.
Cristiano dos Santos Júnior, who plays for Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr, already has 13 caps for Portugal across youth levels: four for the Under-15s and nine for the Under-16s. Having scored five goals during that span, he is now set to make the step up following his maiden U17 selection.
The training camp will take place from 6 to 17 November at the Cidade do Futebol. Portugal will take on Andorra on 11 November, Bulgaria on 14 November, and Serbia on 17 November, with all fixtures being hosted at the Portuguese Football Federation headquarters.
