Unai Simón: If Everyone Plays Their Best, No Team Can Beat Us

Spain's national team goalkeeper, Unai Simón, who recently surpassed Italian legend Walter Zenga's record for most clean sheets at a World Cup, has weighed in on his team's chances in the semi-final clash against France.

"We know France is a footballing powerhouse. But everyone on this team, knowing how we prepare daily, has immense confidence in our playing style. We believe that if every player performs at their absolute best, there isn't a team in the world that can defeat us," the goalkeeper told radio station "Cope."

"Everyone has their strengths. France boasts powerful attacking options and incredible individual talents. Our strength lies in the team. We are a collective that understands its game plan and is tough to beat," added the Athletic Bilbao player.

"Dembélé is the most unpredictable because he's equally adept with both feet. Kylian possesses incredible technical qualities, but Dembélé is more unpredictable. To be honest, I wouldn't want either of them bearing down on me," he admitted.

"Do I want penalties? No, I'd prefer to win 4-0 in regular time. I don't like penalties. I'm a fanatic, I love to analyze, but I'm convinced it's a lottery. I'm confident that if I pick the right corner, I'll make the save. But I don't want everything to come down to that," Simón concluded.
