El Ouazzani is set to depart SC Braga and join Angers.
The 25-year-old French-Moroccan striker had a less-than-productive season in front of goal, netting only twice in 24 appearances. He now embraces a new challenge in his career, heading to the Ligue 1 club.
The agreement between SC Braga and Angers is for a season-long loan and does not include a purchase option. Ouazzani will not be present at the Arsenalistas' squad presentation to their members and fans tonight, an event preceding the friendly match against Celta de Vigo (7:30 PM).
It's worth remembering that the Moroccan U-23 international (10 caps, three goals) was signed by SC Braga from Guingamp at the start of the 2024/2025 season for €3.5 million. He had committed to the Warriors until 2029, with a release clause set at €50 million. In his first season in Minho, El Ouazzani recorded 51 appearances, 11 goals, and three assists across all competitions.
