Giorgi Kochorashvili remains a prime target for Sevilla's midfield, but Sporting's unyielding stance has stalled negotiations. Despite the Georgian not featuring in Rui Borges' plans, Sporting is keen to recoup the €5.5 million investment made last year to sign him from Levante.
However, a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia for Agoumé, from Neom, could be the key to unlocking the transfer. Should the French-Cameroonian accept (which is not a certainty, as, according to Estadio Deportivo, the midfielder believes a move to Saudi Arabia at 24 would be a misstep in his career), Sevilla stands to gain between €25 and €30 million.
This substantial sum would not only help the Andalusian club balance its books but also regularize its financial situation with LaLiga. With Inter holding 10 percent of Agoumé's rights, and deducting the €8 million invested in his acquisition, his departure would yield a profit of €17 million. This would be sufficient to restore Sevilla to LaLiga's 1:1 rule, allowing them to spend as much on new signings as they generate from sales, a luxury they currently do not possess.
Sevilla initially pursued a loan deal for Kochorashvili with an option to buy, a business model rejected by Sporting. With Agoumé's potential sale, Sevilla would be in a stronger position to make a permanent move for the 27-year-old Georgian. However, they still require additional midfield reinforcements, with Ellyes Skhiri, Patrick Berg, and Connor Barron reportedly among other names under consideration.
