Raphael Guerreiro could be heading to Serie A. The Portuguese international is reportedly AC Milan's top target, under the guidance of Ruben Amorim, to replace Pervis Estupiñán, who is on the verge of returning to the Premier League with Aston Villa.
According to Tuttosport, the Rossoneri have identified the Portuguese full-back as their priority to fill the void left by the Ecuadorian. Estupiñán has an agreement with Aston Villa, and the two clubs are finalizing the transfer details, which is expected to bring in between 18 and 20 million euros for the Milanese club.
Available on a free transfer after his contract with Bayern expired, Raphael Guerreiro presents a prime market opportunity for the Italian club. At 32, the Portuguese also offers the versatility that Ruben Amorim values, capable of playing as a left-back, right-back, winger, or even in midfield.
After three seasons in Bavaria and a long spell at Borussia Dortmund, the Portuguese international could embark on a new adventure in Italy, joining an AC Milan side looking to challenge for major titles once again under the Portuguese coach.
The defender, capped 65 times for Portugal, boasts a significant achievement in his career: winning Euro 2016 in France, in addition to numerous titles with Bayern and Borussia in Germany.
