Liverpool has reportedly reached an agreement in principle with PSG for the transfer of winger Bradley Barcola, in a deal that could be worth up to €140 million.

The clubs finalized terms last night, with over €117 million of the total fee guaranteed and the remaining €23 million in potential add-ons, as reported by The Athletic.

For Liverpool, sporting director Richard Hughes and Fenway Sports Group president Mike Gordon are leading the negotiations, with the final details being ironed out this Thursday morning. While nothing has been signed yet, the transfer is on the verge of completion.

The 23-year-old has emerged as Liverpool's primary target to replace Mohamed Salah, who departed Anfield on a free transfer earlier this summer. Barcola himself, a frequent starter under Luis Enrique but often outside PSG's preferred attacking trio (Doué, Dembélé, and Kvaratskhelia) and a substitute in both Champions League finals won by the Parisians, had already expressed his desire to join Liverpool.

The French attacker, who has two years remaining on his PSG contract, made it clear he has no intention of extending his stay with the European champions. He was notably left out of the squad for the 2-2 draw against Rennes on the opening weekend of Ligue 1.

Barcola arrived at PSG in 2023, signing from Lyon for €45 million.

Should the transfer figures be confirmed, it would represent PSG's largest-ever sale (surpassing Neymar's €90 million move to Al Hilal) and Liverpool's third-biggest signing. It could even become their second-largest if certain bonuses are met, as Florian Wirtz cost €125 million, and the Reds paid €145 million for Isak from Newcastle.

It would also rank as the fourth-largest transfer of this summer window.
