Santiago Giménez is set to depart AC Milan and is reportedly nearing a move to FC Porto, having reached an agreement with the Dragons. The news was confirmed this Friday by his representative, Brazilian lawyer Rafaela Pimenta, via social media.
This confirmation puts an end to speculation surrounding the Mexican forward's future. Giménez is currently under contract with Ruben Amorim's Rossoneri until June 2029. Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing to finalize the transfer, with an official announcement expected soon.
Rafaela Pimenta recently shared a Fabrizio Romano post on her Instagram story, detailing the agreement: "Mexican striker expected to leave AC Milan soon, with negotiations ongoing to try and reach an agreement between clubs shortly. Giménez has given his 'yes' to FC Porto, fit and ready."
In the same post, the player's agent also confirmed that the striker has fully recovered from the right ankle injury sustained during the 2026 World Cup match between Mexico and England. The athlete is currently training individually while awaiting the outcome of the negotiations.
Giménez arrived in Milan in February 2025 from Feyenoord for a fee of 30.2 million euros. During his tenure with the Italian club, the forward managed only seven goals in 37 appearances. His time with the Dutch side was considerably more productive, boasting a record of 65 goals in 105 matches over two seasons.
Rafaela Pimenta, who was Mino Raiola's right-hand woman and inherited most of his clients after the Italian agent's death in 2022, also represents stars like Manchester City's Erling Haaland.
