Fatal accident divides body of man into two

Two commercial buses and a Mercedes Benz sport utility were involved in the accident.

An officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr. Seun Onijala, told newsmen that it was as a result of recklessness.

An accident that occurred on Sunday, July 31, 2016, has split a man into two and claimed five other lives on the Lagos-Ibadan express-way.

According to the Daily Post, the vehicles involved include two commercial buses and a Mercedes Benz sport utility.

Mr. Seun Onijala, the Public Relations Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Oyo State command confirmed the incident.

He stated that the accident was as a result of reckless driving.

Apart from the six that were confirmed dead, 21 other passengers, who sustained high degree injuries were taken to the Ibadan Central Hospital, Ososami for medical attention.

“While the remains of the dead passengers had been deposited at the Adeoyo Hospital morgue, Ibadan, about 21 persons who sustained high degree of injuries were taken to Ibadan Central Hospital at Ososami for treatment," Onijala said.
