Tottenham Unleashes Transfer Frenzy: De Zerbi Demands One More Signing Before Deadline

Italian football manager Roberto De Zerbi is pushing Tottenham's management for one more significant signing. He aims to cap off a successful transfer window that has already exceeded his expectations. The London club's coach has embarked on an extensive squad overhaul after his team narrowly avoided relegation last season. Slovakian international goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka is also part of the Tottenham squad.

De Zerbi's latest acquisitions arrived from Manchester City, with Brazilian winger Savio signing for £85 million and Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush joining on loan. The club's spending this transfer window has neared £300 million, and De Zerbi aims for one final signing before Tuesday's deadline, which closes at 10:00 PM CET.

"I think Savio and Marmoush are great. I don't know what to call them, but they are certainly high-level players," De Zerbi stated ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Newcastle.

"I didn't expect such a transfer market. But even so, I still think we can get one more player for one specific position. I had dinner with the owners. We talked about it, and we are all on the same page; there's a very good connection between us," he added.

Marmoush is Tottenham's eighth signing since last season, and De Zerbi believes he will provide attacking competition in the number ten role, especially with James Maddison not fully fit and Mohammed Kudus just returning from a long-term injury. Marmoush scored 37 goals during a productive 18-month spell at Eintracht Frankfurt but only managed 16 during his time at City.

"He's a great addition for us. A great player, and everyone here loves him as a player. We hope he can deliver what he's truly capable of. I think he can offer more attacking solutions. We need attacking players who can score goals and are good on the ball. In his case, he's a very fast player with great qualities, and we are all pleased," concluded the manager.
