Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly in advanced talks with Manchester City to sign Savinho and Omar Marmoush. While nothing is finalized yet, discussions between the two clubs are progressing.

The Athletic reported that the Spurs are making headway on a deal for Savinho, with Marmoush also among the players expected to depart City this summer.

Savinho was not included in Enzo Maresca's 21-man squad for the Citizens' 3-0 loss to Arsenal in the Community Shield on Sunday. Marmoush, however, came on as a second-half substitute for Erling Haaland.

Potential deals for Savinho and Marmoush would add to an already busy summer for Tottenham, who have spent a combined £229.5 million on Sandro Tonali, Matheus Fernandes, and Jan Paul van Hecke.

Tottenham also pursued Savinho last summer. However, at that time, the Citizens were unwilling to sell the Brazilian, who signed a new contract until 2031 in early October, after the transfer window closed.

Despite this, Savinho continued to play a secondary role at City, starting only 7 Premier League matches last season, a campaign in which Pep Guardiola's side finished second and won two domestic trophies.

Marmoush started 8 times in the league last season, finishing the campaign with 8 goals in 36 appearances. The forward then played 5 matches for Egypt in the World Cup, where his team reached the round of 16.

In addition to the transfers of Tonali, Fernandes, and Van Hecke, the Spurs have also brought in defenders Marcos Senesi and Andrew Robertson, as well as goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka, on free transfers.
