While the hosts from Subotica entered the contest as favorites, few could have anticipated such a dominant and lopsided victory.

The home side established a solid 21-13 lead after the opening quarter, before pulling away further with a 25-19 second period to build an insurmountable advantage.

Vlada Jovanović's squad showed no signs of slowing down in the second half, overpowering a bewildered opponent to claim the third quarter 22-17. By then, it was evident that Vechta was heading toward a heavy opening-round defeat in the Champions League.

The rout was sealed in the fourth quarter, which began with a devastating 15-1 run by Jovanović's side. Spartak stretched their lead to 30 points, maintaining that dominant margin until the final buzzer.

Jalon Pipkins led the way for Spartak with a team-high 18 points, supported by Igor Drobnjak and Dalibor Ilić, who added 12 points apiece.

Lewis, Pandi, and Adler-Davis were the only double-digit scorers for the defeated German outfit, whose lack of depth proved costly in the blowout.
