Ribadu Is Now A Laughing Stock, Kwankwaso Says

Governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso of Kano state has said that former Chairman of the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission , Nuhu Ribadu is now a laughing stock.

The governor reportedly said this while receiving merit awards from two Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) at the state Government House.

Kwankwaso said:

“After he left the APC for the PDP, his new party did not find him worthy of its gubernatorial ticket. I am sure the PDP stakeholders in Adamawa are now laughing at him. We sympathize with him”

The former EFCC chairman left the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on August 16, 2014 supposedly for the purpose of contesting the governorship elections on the latter’s platform.

However, he was reportedly “convinced” to give up this desire and step down to enable the party whittle down its list of prospective candidates for the governorship.
